Registration fees should be sent as DD in favor of ‘ICAR Unit, IISR, Calicut’ payable at Calicut. Registration fees are inclusive of training kit, refreshment and a working lunch on all training days.
The programme is intended for scientists, researchers and post graduate students actively engaged in biotechnology/molecular biology research and who are keen to learn about bioinformatics applications.

The Bioinformatics Centre at IISR, under the Biotechnology Information System Network (BtisNet) programme of DBT was started in January 2000 to focus on spices research. The Centre is known for its sound training programmes and the pioneering initiatives in Agri-bioinformatics. The Centre has excellent class rooms, computer lab and high performance computing (HPC) facility for NGS data analysis.
The Indian Institute of Spices Research (IISR), Kozhikode (Calicut) is a constituent body of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and is a major Institute devoted to research on spices. Established in 1975 as a Regional Station of CPCRI, it was upgraded to full-fledged institute in 1995. It is located in Kozhikode (Calicut) district of Kerala.
